Smart Platform Renewal

The Techcross Smart Platform is a monitoring system that collects and analyzes all log data from Ballast Water Management Systems (BWMS) in real time. Even without dispatching a service engineer, customers can receive proactive service solutions and troubleshooting support through the Smart Platform. In fact, customer satisfaction has been high, as more than one-third of installed vessels have resolved potential issues in advance.
Since its initial introduction in 2023, feedback and operational experience have accumulated, leading to a major renewal that enhances the user experience and expands data-driven analysis capabilities. While the previous version simply displayed log data values, the upgraded platform now enables users to intuitively understand what the data means and supports more effective diagnosis and management of equipment conditions.
Through this renewal, Techcross expects that customers will have greater opportunities to utilize equipment operation data. At the same time, customers are anticipated to directly experience improvements in their operating environment through the Smart Platform. Based on the accumulated big data, Techcross plans to continuously develop the Smart Platform to provide customers with a safer and more efficient vessel operation environment.

Success at Domestic Water Electrolysis Technology Achievement Report

On February 25, Techcross held a “Domestic Water Electrolysis Technology Achievement Report” event ahead of the full-scale operation of its 1.25MW alkaline water electrolysis system test facility built at the Techcorss Busan factory. At the event, attended by around 70 participants including government officials and industry stakeholders, Techcross presented the progress of its water electrolysis technology development, key achievements, and future plans.
Techcross is currently developing water electrolysis technology through active participation in several national R&D projects led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Resources. Based entirely on domestic technology, the high-efficiency MW-scale water electrolysis system demonstrates strong reliability even when connected to unstable renewable energy sources. During the event, Techcross successfully conducted Korea’s first load-fluctuation response test, drawing significant attention from participants.
Furthermore, the innovative stack cell module developed by Techcross, stands out for its slim thickness of 8.5mm, optimized for load fluctuation response, as well as improved efficiency in mass production and maintenance. The stack has been officially certified to achieve over 86% efficiency, surpassing the 82% efficiency of stacks produced by leading German company. This achievement is regarded as securing an independent growth engine capable of competing with advanced overseas technologies.
At the same time, Techcross has completed the vertical integration of the entire hydrogen production and commercialization process, from core materials such as electrodes and membranes to equipment including stacks, rectifiers, and BOP used in water electrolysis systems. Through this integration, the company has achieved significant cost reductions and price competitiveness. As part of a national R&D projects through 2030, Techcross is also accelerating the development of related products by improving performance, scaling up capacity, and developing service solutions such as control systems that enable remote supervision and integrated monitoring.
Meanwhile, Techcross successfully commercialized a 250kW-class product just four years after launching the 250kW commercialization intermediary project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT, and plans to secure a MW-class commercial model in the second half of this year, entering the global market in earnest starting next year.

Greek Government Type Approval Renewal

In February 2026, the Greek government type approval for the Techcross ECS-B 1.1 model was renewed. Over the past six months, Techcross conducted biological efficacy tests at a land-based test facility, demonstrating outstanding organism elimination performance even under more challenging conditions than those applied during the previous type approval tests.
In particular, the system’s performance in freshwater environments, traditionally considered a weakness of electrolysis systems, has been significantly improved. The required salinity has been reduced from 1.5 PSU to 0.1 PSU, expanding the operational range of the product. In addition, the holding time of treated water has been reduced from 23 hours to 13 hours, nearly halving the time and significantly improving operational efficiency.
